SILVERSTEIN is finally back on tour with “25 YEARS OF NOISE,” bringing back a sense of nostalgia with their fanbase across the United States. SPLIT CHAIN, ARM'S LENGTH and THURSDAY are joining them, and form an amazing lineup for a highly energetic performance throughout the evening.
SPLIT CHAIN, coming over from the United Kingdom, opened up as the fans were still crawling in, and those who came late missed out on such an amazing performance. Being a metalhead, there could not have been a better band to raise the tempo of the overall show. They played their new single “I'm Not Dying To Be Here,” which is an absolute banger and my new favourite. Their melodies fit perfectly into this tour as they bring that similar sense of nostalgia with a grunge sound aligning with a huge chorus and fresh modern alternative pieces.
Second was ARM'S LENGTH, a Canadian emo band opening their set with “In Loving Memory” and some beautiful lyrics that had the audience entranced from the start. A different tone then SPLIT CHAIN, their set gave the fans room to sway to their mesmerising melodies. A soulful performance right before THURSDAY decided to take on the stage with their super powerful set.
“THURSDAY playing on Wednesday” was the joke going around in the crowd and online. After a series of hiatuses and touring on and off, they made a comeback in 2024 with their new album. This tour definitely plays a significant role in promoting their music back again to their old fans and gaining them new fans. They landed a power-packed performance, leaving the crowd out of breath and prepared for what was coming next; the main event everyone had been waiting for.
At this point, it almost feels like a music festival; three bands have already played and everyone is warmed up. And as mentioned before: a feeling of nostalgia. SILVERSTEIN’s opening piece was led by visuals reminding how the band was started in Ontario, Canada, playing in small rooms, burning CD’s and being on Myspace to promote music. And this is where they are 25 years later, touring back with some of the most awesome bands from the genre. A perfect way to end the night leaving the fans most cheerful and lively.
